The Securities and Exchanges Commission’s (SEC) acting chairman, Mark Uyeda, has launched a crypto task force to develop a regulatory framework for crypto assets. Commissioner Hester Peirce will lead the task force. The task force will collaborate with the SEC, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and other federal departments and agencies to develop a sensible regulatory framework, including paths to registration and disclosure.
